My Slovakian colleague and Turkish colleague invited me to join their new project! They decided they could exchange videos of their students talking about different topics.

first topic: our students introduce themselves in English (November)

The third project is launched!!
We decided to ask our students to write a personal letter to their penpals. ( it may include general information such as age, address, grade, also information about the student's family, pets, friends, talents, personality, likes and dislikes!)
I gave my students a kind of "letter template" to help them!

First project- postcards exchange

My French pupils have received 10 letters so far!
from Slovenia, Slovakia (Kysucké Nové Mesto and Zazriva), Poland, Latvia, Portugal(Tomar), Greece , Malta,Denmark and Romania. and We are looking forward to getting news from another school in Portugal.
( Unfortunately all schools won't get as many letters as we got.... because I didn't manage to give a clear explanation of the project!! Our colleague in Denmark, and our colleague in Latvia sent their letters to France only...)

second project : Christmas letters

My pupils were really happy to get letters from other pupils in other countries, and they thought it was a great idea to continue!

Why not send each other letters about Christmas traditions + Christmas cards?
Here is what I'm going to ask my students to do:

read a text about Christmas in the United Kingdom
answer some questions about Christmas in France+ write a letter to describe Christmas traditions in France + illustrate it
make and write a Christmas card

(click here to see the worksheet I'll ask my students to complete... There are mistakes in the "layout" on googledoc.. I'll correct it as soon as I can)
I got answers from enthusiastic colleagues, who agreed to continue our correspondance (thanks!!)

Letter from Denmark

Our school organized a European week in October (20th -24th).There were lots of projects!

With their technology teachers, the pupils drew a huge map of the European community on a wall.

With their French teachers, they made posters about famous European writers.

With their history and geography teachers, they made posters about the 27 European countries.

With their music teacher, they played the European hymn on the flute.

The Spanish, German and English teachers organized a "reading challenge". The pupils read as many novels, short stories or comics as they can in any of the 3 languages, and they answer quizzes. The pupils with the best score win prizes!!

And I tried to organize a letter exchange with other schools in European countries ( just with one class though)

Here are the steps I followed:

the pupils chose their group (2 or 3 pupils per group))
they answered questions about their school (look at the questions here!) (and here the paper we sent)
they wrote a postcard
they completed their timetable (blank timetable here)
they labeled the classroom objects in French ( blank worksheet here)

and then each group sent their work to another school!
